Fleet Owners and Managers

Fleet Vehicle Maintenance can be costly and time-consuming, but AirDog® makes it easy. We provide Fleet Owners and Managers the best replacement parts and add-on parts available to make their fleets perform at their most efficient and effective. AirDog® provides Fuel Air Separation Systems and Lift Pumps as replacement parts or performance add-ons for fleets of:

  • Diesel Pick-Up Trucks, including Dodge Pick-Ups, Ford Pick-Ups, Chevy Pick-Ups and more. Pick-up truck fleets are common for local distributors, construction companies and many other businesses.

  • Commercial Vehicles, including Cargo Vans, Utility Trucks, Sprinters, etc. These are perhaps the most common types of fleet vehicles, used by mail and package delivery companies, local distributors, large contractors, etc.

  • Class 8 Semi Trucks, including Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Volvo and Cummins Semi Trucks. These are the important fleets that power our large transportation and distribution system.

Any diesel engine can benefit from the Fuel Preporator® II. Long haul trucks typically see the fastest ROI, but the improved throttle response and increase engine life is a win for all diesel engines. While maintaining trucks on the road is becoming more costly every day, trucks using the Fuel Preporator® II average about a 1/2 MPG increase. For example, a fleet of 50 trucks that run about 100,000 miles per year, that can correlate to about $5,000 a year in fuel savings per truck, or $250,000 of average fuel savings per year for the entire fleet.

The Fuel Preporator® II is an improved filtration system that removes water, debris, and AIR! We know water and debris damage engine components, but few realize air and vapor are just as harmful. Re-fueling, engine fuel return, and normal tank sloshing entrain approximately 10% air and vapor into the fuel and ultimately your engine. This results in three negative effects:

  1. The transfer pump can run dry when starting, heavy acceleration, and at higher altitudes. This will cause accelerated wear of the pump due to the lack of lubrication normally provided by the fuel.
  2. Injector wear and tip erosion is also accelerated. Diesel acts as both a lubricant and a dampener. As the injector slams shut, distortion and even breakage of the injector tip can happen if there is nothing to soften the blow. Also, the high pressure air release causes pitting of the metal, which may lead to leaky injectors.
  3. Air in the fuel system actually retards the timing of the engine. Since air is compressible, it will delay pressure build up from the injection pump. As the injector opens, the air pockets are released first, allowing the piston to move past the optimum position to create a complete and clean combustion.

The Fuel Preporator® II solves all three of these problems. Without air and vapor, your fuel system's components are protected with constant lubrication and buffering while correcting injection timing. Dynamometer testing proves the Fuel Preporator® II effectively removes air across all RPM ranges, which is superior to the competition's ability to only do so at lower RPMs.
